The Practice
The Nooksack Morning
The Nooksack River runs through the Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest — cold, clear, and constant. There’s a hiking trail along the bank, and if you know where to stop, you can find a spot where the mini rapids fill the air and the trees close in around you. Sitting there with a hot coffee, just listening, is calm for the soul.
